Finally the time has come for our first 2015 dive safari into the wild south!
The winds have calmed down and the water temperature is slowly getting to a “normal” level.
Last week our Komodo liveaboard the “Mastro Aldo” took the chance and left the port of Labuanbajo to explore the wild south for the first time of this season.
Everyone was rather excited, even our guides who have several thousand dives here in Komodo. But still… going to the south is always an adventure!
But hey, everything went as planned. No swell, no choppy sea and just a slight breeze.
The only thing that could have been better was the “still” cold water temperature of 24°C. From now on it will get warmer and warmer day by day…

Why SOUTH?
Well, alone the gigantic cliffs and white sand beaches on the way are simply amazing. Combines with world class macro diving and wild Komodo dragons on the beach, this is a breathtaking destination. Also there are some massive wall dive sites and strong current dives just around the corner of Nusa Kode, the little island south of Rinca island.
Overall an epic journey with uncountable species to see under water.
